have you guys ever gotten a credit card, or living expenses cc or compensation from either uscf, fide, or your state chess association?
any information on what happens when you pass away as a chess player?
so no one knows what happens when you pass away as a chess player?? do you go to heaven? do you go to the "upper room"? do you get saved by angels/lazers? i dont know... anyone know?
The same thing that happens if someone dies and isn't a chess player
TBH we don't know that either, since op obviously isn't talking about the body.
Most chess.com members would probably just demand a rematch. Or complain how life just keeps repeating moves to allow death to win on time. Or that death came too early meaning it was blitz and not really life. Or that death cheated and should be banned. Or if an accident happened, that they didn't see it coming or didn't know the rules and should be allowed a take back or have the rules changed.
Pick any. Both life and afterlife spent not facing reality.
I'm sure some would complain about getting disconnected before their winning move in the big game!
And the bunny thought he had it all covered 😊

Depends upon how good a chess player you are. As a chess player you get to go to that great big chess cafe in the sky. Really poor players will just love being there even if they lose every game. Really good players will tend to win every game and will enjoy passing along tips and their knowledge. Both of these types of players will feel they are in heaven.
It's the mid-range player that will run into trouble. They will want to win every game. They will be too caught up in their rating. They will get more and more frustrated with each loss, while being unable to enjoy their wins. They will be unable to just enjoy being in the chess cafe. They will, I'm afraid, feel like they are in hell . . .
I hope you're not expecting feedback from the *other side of the veil*
