I just wonder how one could cheat using an engine at such time control as a bullet game. In rapid perhaps but blitz at around 3mins and bullet, you will need a computer bettern than a PC AND REALLY NIMBLE HANDS TO WORK YOUR GAME AND YOUR ENGINE ATVHTE SAME TIME.

Chess bots... you put one on your browser, it plays for you at lightning speed.

Someone posted recently YouTube footage of a 84-move game, in which the clock (here at chess.com) went down from 1:00 minutes to 0:59 (!) from move 1 to move 84...

The accounts of both players were closed in under 24 hours, of course - but the technology is there.

Why would there be any automated way to filter out cheaters? Hint: if there was, they would already be gone.

I'm going to infer that your methods of cheater detection are pretty questionable. Any "cheater" who's still 1750 is a terrible cheater.

Not true. A cheater may be 1300 really - and may simply be happy to use the engine in enough games to raise his rating to 1750. It's a great ego boost and he's happy with it that way - and also he knows that below 2000 he's not going to be detected, in all likelyhood...

The moral? Become stronger, cross the 2000 (in Hebrew this sounds funny as it's a play on words with "cross the Alps"), then breathe the fresh mountain air (now the joke works also in English - but only because I explained it before), which is clear of such pests.

Claims of cheating, but no evidence. Sour grapes?
