no you played terribly.
Once the Queen takes that rook on h8 it's usually game over. Although he had that move one move earlier. Moving the Queen that early is risky but the player hopes his opponent will go into a sort of panic, which happened in this game.
The weaker you are in understanding of the game, the more power the Queen seems to have. You made poor moves, for example ...g6, losing a center pawn, where Nc6, developing a piece and losing nothing was the obviously better choice.
I've had weaker players give up both Rooks plus a Minor Piece for my Queen, without any positional gain, and they thought they were ahead in material! The Queen is NOT that strong if you play correctly.
Everybody knows the queen is overpowered, but they refuse to admit it. They all protome their pawn to a queen for a reason!
Nah. I love the knight more. When I play K vs Q, my opponent always err (if it is a bullet game) because he cannot predict the knights' moves. Plus, in your game, the queen wasn't overpowered. You were just giving away material.

there is a difference between the queen being the best piece and it being over powered.
Noway! I is underpowered. It should have power of knight too
it should have the powers of a pawn too
queen takes queen with en passent.

This was in one of my recent games against a 500 rated opponent. My opponent's queen was supper annoying and impossible to capture.
Anyone else think that the queen turns chess from a beautiful game to a ugly game??
