Where is the rating line on little or no talent?

And a low rating can simply mean not much study, even if lots of talent.  Just learning the rules and playing without committed study of traps, the end game, etc.

Ken Smith (Smith-Morra Gambit) along w/ friend Dr. Ken Colby (AI Creator ELIZA, PARRY) basically say that ppl w/out any meaningful talent are grandpatzers and less (U-2000 FIDE or 'A' players and lousier)....no matter what they do.

....makes sense.

I have played hundreds of games

Excuse me. Anyone can see the games you played, and you've only played three daily games. Play at least fifty live games against people your level and then talk.

How do we define chess talent, though?

If we define it as a happy synergy of a passionate willingness to play chess and a number of innate mental skills (i. e. visualisation, spatial awareness, focus, intuition etc.) which can genetically vary in starting levels but which can (to a certain extent) be enhanced through proper exercise, then I've lost nearly all of my talent in the last year or two.
