Anyone else want to discuss My System?

Sort:

I have been reading My System - my rating is is around 1600.  I was wondering if anyone else who has read it, or is reading it, or wants to read it, wants to have some chats or discussions sometime, to exchange ideas and thoughts and learning from it.

I was thinking maybe once or twice a week, for half hour or an hour at a time, just to help each other learn.

Cheers

What is "deus-ex machina"?

I've been reading it too - I wish I had time to take you up on the weekly exchange. Did you know that killegar chess has a video series that covers the whole book? It's no substitute for the reading/analyzing but watching them as you read section by section helps with perspective..

thanks Jimmy, I will drop you a note

Blitzkrieg, I am not sure if it can work by text, I was thinking more a voice chat?

Blastforme, I have been watching Killegar's series, however I do not tend to learn that much from the videos, it must be the way I learn. I am learning a lot more from the book and playing through the positions and games.

You might also read "The Game of Chess" by Siegbert Tarrasch and after you have read both of those I would suggest a two volume set of books called "The Middlegame in Chess" by Max Euwe and then an endgame book called "Pawn Power"
