Anyone noticed an increase in opponents giving death stares?

It is a psychological tactic, but I wonder next should it be allowed? I mean what if very attractive looking players show up with very revealing clothing to distract their opponents? I mean if Magnus showed up in a speedow it might throw my game off...

bro wtf I had the same thing a few days ago in a tourney. I was beating a 1950 smth FIDE and he was giving me the death stare for like 5 minutes before resigning lol

I've never seen it before lmao it's so weird. My opponents were staring when winning though

Also nice win 👀

they want to start a love scene so that when the pink background fades in, they can knock over your king unnoticed

w strat i must say

I wouldn't have any idea if my opponent was staring at me

They could add heavy breathing

An occasional belch or fart

I remember, that won me a game at an OTB competition. The opponent (a higher-rated player) was laughing incessantly whilst also having to cover up, I could see the pain in his face as he tried to do so, but I relentlessly sent on more and more bombs such that the once-losing game (where I was a piece down) became a winning one (queen vs rook and minor piece)

Does staring even do anything btw? I just think it's corny I can't imagine someone actually being affected by it lol

That’s dirty…

Recently one of my opponents used a different strategy: he wore a cap which nearly covered his eyes to make himself look mysterious and put pressure on me. It didn’t work a bit, though.

When my opponents stare at me I don’t really care either. I’m limb different, so some people just stare at my arm instead of calculating (young kids mostly) and get fried because they weren’t thinking about the position. So it actually helps me lol
