QUESTION... is the Queen a feminist?

Hawksteinman

Well, the queen can cover the most squares, but is an inanimate object. So no.

I'm wondering what's the best way for white to continue here:

Can white save the game?  And if so how?

KRAPARSOV

I hink that maybe white can win the game starting with Qd8+

Scottrf

Don't forget the bishop can make the king an escape square

I need help:

Recently, as Black, I was stunned to find out my opponenent made this move. After spending an hour in my OTB game, I was convinced that White was winning. I played Nc6, but lost in 13 more moves. What should I play instead? Am I lost?

Thunder_Penguin

Is everyone speechless? I assume White's winning!

1.Qd8+ Rxd8 2.Rxd8+ Bf8 3.Rxf8+ Kg7 4.Re8 followed by g5 and Rg8 is my idea

Actually, thats the Bongcloud variation of the Scandinavian. Theres a forced win for white here, so thats the reason the Scandinavian is not played much nowadays by grandmasters

Genius! Chessbase has been hiding this secret though, as well as other opening books.

Let's give this a 'test'.

What should white do in this position, and why. Explain the reasoning of your move.
