Are Chess Engines killing creativity in chess?

Most people nowadays analysis game using engine, rather than masters. Although engines can give a more accurate analysis, they can't really tell you why is a move good and how is a position better for white/black. Also, masters nowadays just memorise the opening theory, they don't create many new lines like in the old days.

Even though they can't tell you why some position better, there is always a reason. And usually you can figure it out if you play around with the position.

I don't know about GM's, but for us online patzers I think engine can allow for more creativity especially in the opening. Even in main lines they sometimes come up with some unusual yet strong moves that you would never even consider normally.

In ruy lopez I used to play d5 or d6 here, but didn't have much success. I noticed engine recommend a weird move Na5. It's a strong idea and it often gets people out of theory so now I play it every time I get the chance
