No logical explanation and only ad hominem. not worth a valid fact

I could say the same for checker, shogi, and many other board games

You started by bringing up using brain...i brought up many activities that requires brain...and then all your response was just chess is a sport bla bla bla

Is playing video games inherently bad?

In moderation, probably not. In the obsessive way that today’s youth plays them, almost certainly.

Obviously.. anyone except gamers would agree to that

What is a sport???..what most people say solving puzzles is a sport then its a sport

play chess with your brain active... oh wait you dont have a brain jk but pls dont take chess like video game its pretty lame false statement only dumb people talk like that.. hope atleast you are not dumb like those video gaming fans/chess haters

You also use your brain when you try to solve riddles, learn math, biology, chemistry....you use brain when you read romantic or horror novels.....you also use your brain when you pray to God as thinking of solving problems in life....

And i don't think you will tell your children to play chess in order to improve stamina and get stronger physical shape

If chess is a sport then solving riddles or performing a religious rite is also a sport

what do you want to say?? maths and certain topics are off syllabus... you have read the syllabus but not on the exam.. dont bring off topic comments blabberer.. chess is an topic all those topics you have mentioned in the comment are also different topic.. dont make them same..

its pretty lame to similarize chess and religious rite.. go learn whats the difference among them.. if chess is sport that does not mean all those should be sport.

no matter what chess is sport.. believe it or not but its true

Its also lame to similarize chess and boxing, football, badminton...

In Armenia chess is a part of subject at school

Anyone can make anything a part of academics. Anyone can make sylabus for anything. Why can't math be made a sport

It also gives exercise to brain.

So is solving riddles, playing strategic games

According to a whole lot of people, hunting and fishing are sports. They are not typically competitive, nor do they necessarily require strength or stamina, or high heart rate. What makes them sports? Or do you want to argue they're not?  Also, try telling a NASCAR driver that auto racing is not a sport.

If a store sells hunting and fishing gear, it is called a "Sporting Goods" store.

Chess may be a “sport”. But them being athletes is a whole other thing.

They're traditionally sports. Hunting, of course, is very physical and strenuous. Chess isn't and most people would just laugh at the idea that others think chess is a sport. But then they might tell themselves that they didn't know anything about chess and so they shouldn't judge.

yes they should not judge negatively.. infact, chess IS AN SPORT.. OPINIONS OF haters/disagreed people would never understand this fact
