2500 is a GM for sure 2700 elo players are considered as Super Grandmasters however engines such as Komodo or Stockfish or Houdini has a rating of 3390 so although they are computers but if they are at 3400 elo do they must be called as Mega Grandmasters of chess how about it🏁🏀

We are lucky engines aren't allowed to participate in world championship games. Imagine Stockfish running on a dedicated supercomputer with a million cores, participating in a tournament... It would be a tournament among machines, with human weaklings playing some lousy games at the tail of the leaderboard. grin.png

It's why we don't have superbikes or cars race against Usain Bolt in the Olympics, or Jet Ski's race against Phelps. No one really even thinks of these things. Competition is meant to be among humans, and we always knew one day we'd make Chess Software stronger than any human.

Pretty sure stockfish has competed in a few human only tournaments already .....
