When I was 4 we went to Germany and as we visited various relatives and friends my dad would let me play them in chess and would say "This one is the champion of Fustenfeldbrook, that one is the champion of Munich, this one is the champion of Southern Germany"....etc etc. And of course I won all the games. I was convinced, for awhile, that I was the new chess champion of Europe by the time we were done.

I think they finnaly broke it to me as we drove to yet another house, and I asked "What is he the champion of?". "Well, we were just fooling with you, they arent champions of anything"

Tell your dad he's a bullshitter.

Just because Death is Swedish doesnt mean the Seventh Seal is Swedish. It might be Cuban.

Someone start a club that is based on denying any Swedish achievements.

I have a feeling the club won't be very busy. However, its the thought that counts.

A county like USA should not ask what is wrong with another country.

Because you should take a damn good look at whats wrong with your own. =P

Looking. US leads in patents and nobel prizes, first and still only country that went to the moon, invented the airplane, the telephone, and the internet.

I will look some more and get back to you.

And remember that this thread was started by a troll, just look at the title. You are letting yourself get baited in.

Alexander Graham Bell, of Scotland and the UK, invented the telephone.

Actually a Brit invented fixed wing flight...
