A 300 bot probably wouldn't even play 1... e5, they would do a bad knight move at best.
Not all mate in ones, they just dont fall for scholars

Milica, Fabian, juan, and Noel all fall for scholars mate if u try a few times. Elani falls for it rarely.

All mates are, eventually, mates in one 
...so every player and engine "falls" for them.
The concept of "mate in X" is a human conceit based on human calculation abilities...engines follow this premise because human programmed them to, but ultimately, a position is either drawn, or is already a forced mate whether a human or engine can calculate far enough ahead or not.
