Coachability is related to IQ as well, which is why it costs so much to teach the lowest level kids getting very limited results.

Err...trying to help people realize how coachable they are?
I applied it to all levels of my life, learning to be kind to friends and respect their space and do the hard work ... each one is a learning experience and we are all students (or should be). The items hit me especially hard for one particularly-intense college course!
ADDED: And of course it applies to this highly-complex-but-rocking-cool game called chess.

I'm not sure it is difficult to understand - clearly there are thousands of posts on this forum whose goal is to direct players to help them in their struggles with chess and many are in teacher/student capacities.
I sure see a lot of coaches AND students here and all chess sites and even YouTube! We help each other, right?
