As an option, if a much better player is playing a much weaker player, if there is a 3 move forced checkmate that the better player misses, there could be some sort of side wager / point system for that. After all, it's not nice if a weaker player is tortured for twenty moves when the game should have been over 17 moves ago. I like 9 queens as much as anybody, but still.
