Hi @MikeKlein, i think it is very cool of you to answer questions from us Noobs. So, i've been in the 1700-1800s for a month now, i have a really good endgame winrate, but i do happen to lose a lot of games in the middlegame, especially on my recent tilt, i just make some absolutely horrendous moves that guarantee i cant get into a nice endgame. What books/courses/recommendations do you have for someone 1700+ that wants to get better at their middlegame? i think a lot of people struggle with it. Looking forward to your response, thanks for doing this
Is there a particular type of position you think most players struggle to master, and how do you approach it?
For people who may not have much time or motivation to play/study chess for hours, what's the best way for them to improve? What do you think is the most crucial daily habit to make progress (besides playing, of course)?
Hi, I'd like some advice on how to choose and learn a good sicilian line to play as black. I've been learning the kalashnikov but I'm having trouble understanding the positions I'm getting. The rossolimo and maroczy setups are also a pain to play against, so I'm not really sure if I should just tank it and just keep playing or if maybe I have to find something else.
I'm really used to playing the benoni and the pirc, so I've thought about the dragon, but everyone says it's dead now, I'm aware that at club level no one will probably know a full 17 move engine line but I'd still like to get dynamic games and try to play for a win as black.
