What do you do to uplift yourself when you're demotivated in chess, if that happens?

That does not happen all that often. I have an insatiable lust for the game. If it ever happens because of playing too much, then it is a good idea to take a break and come back with reignited passion.

how to improve chess as a 1500 otb classical player?

I answered that question above on best ways to improve as intermediate players. I also created a video on how to reach 1800 ELO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZOQVAM4uGQ

One issue for 1500 ELO seems to be consistency: while strategic play is improving, your game is not blunder-free yet and gross blunders still take place. So raising the floor becomes important to stop losing games due to crude blunders.

Hi Sir, I want to ask about my father? His age is about 38-40 and he is having an active job. He plays rarely. Can you recommend any method in which he can work in chess because he is not having time at all! Please recommend some training methods.

Assuming he does not want to invest money in books or courses, and at the cost of shameless self-promotion, I recommend my YT channel. Daily, I am hearing feedback from people who have improved 100+ ELO points after watching my videos. He must stay active and stop the video when I say so. Then he should carefully listen to my explanations. Wishing him all the best!

Very thank you sir for the prompt reply and advice

Hey folks thank you so much for all your questions so far! You have been awesome and @DrCanChess is working really hard to get to as many questions as possible. What a great AMA we can enjoy together. Please do not be offended or upset if Can doesn't get to all your questions, time does not allow for every question to be answered.

Massive props to Can so far and to you the community for such active participation and engagement. ❤️

is castling not that necessary for high rating players?

Everything is context-dependent, but strong players are arguably better to judge when the king can safely be kept in the center and they show more flexibility.

Can you tell me some tips increase my blitz and bullet rating? I m 160 in blitz and 180 in bullet 😢😢

The biggest predictor of getting better at blitz and bullet chess is to simply get good at (classical) chess.

Can is King's Indian defense setup the recommended way to play as black against white's queenside fianchetto bishop?

There are several good setups against the kingside fianchetto. It also depends on which pawn structure White achieves in the middlegame with the fianchetto bishop on g2. King's Indian setup is sound and logical, especially if you play it regularly. You can check some Botvinnik - Geller model games to see how Black plays in those King's Indian structures where White chooses the fianchetto variation.
