at what rating do you think "real chess" starts

Eh... I think there's a gap between the time a player stops losing / winning due to silly mistakes and when they start executing correct plans. I think sometime around 1300 OTB is when players are almost 100% of the time avoiding the ridiculous 1 move blunders, but it will be a few 100 more points before they even start to get a feel for plans.
As for tactical mistakes, everyone makes those from time to time. A game where all the tactical sequences were perfect means it was either a very boring game, or a big mismatch.

There is a lot less silly mistake above 2200....than at 1800....but it's obvious....the higher you go the better is the precision of the moves....
A 2200 player would destroy you most of the time....
Been playing a good few years now and I think the highest I have ever got is mid 1300. Most of my moves are completely off the cuff/ based on instinct and the more I think and play against the computer, the worse I seem to do lol.
Based on that, I am guessing around 1500+ is where players start memorizing games and really know what they are doing.

nope
im chillin at like 1900 rapid and still lose to 1 move blunders or play random moves with no plan

You can know what you are doing in most of a game around 1400 but if you compare yourself to a 1600 here it's obviously not the same precision of moves...and a lot more blunders...

honestly I don't think that there is a clear gap between that.. people with a bit higher rating just do tactical mistakes a bit less often and a bit less visibly.. but even Magnus is able to blunder something occasionally..

Even if I don't make tactical mistakes I still feel like moving the pieces with pure intuition so I don't even really have a plan... Is chess just a mindless game ?

Another chess cupcake looking for a pat on the back.

Does it make you feel bitter when someone better than you mentions their rating?
Never
