it shouldn't be that much of a problem but if it is blame the bad development of your pieces or show us an example but you gotta step up and adapt and keep in my your king more

 That certainly clears things up.

I have a recent game I'll either try to post later or delete this message. I'm just learning how to post a game.

It's basically KID vs. London. It would be cool to see a way of preventing the queen supported bishop from exchanging. I didn't see anything. Obviously, he was going to castle queen side so I focused getting ready for the exchange and attacking his queen side or pushing up the middle.

On queen side, his pawns are important for king saftey. Mine are just waiting around for something to do.

London...KID...exchanging bishop...castle queenside...

Almost has to be a Tarzan Attack.  Check out recent games from Mark Hebden.  He plays this as white a lot of the time in the last 2-3 years.  And naturally, his high level opponents should give you some idea of how to handle the defensive side.

Go to the board icon in the top left corner of the "post your reply" box->select "game or sequence of moves"->then either start with a blank chessboard or paste your PGN if you have it into the PGN box.

Yep. The game is dated July 29th (Titled: The Eighth). I'm suppose to be on a camping trip so, I have some power and time limitations today.

Here it is for everyone's convenience. I'll give you my thoughts in a bit.

Looks like this was a fast time control, like a bullet game.  Anyway who were the players?

So basically, in that game he gave you no problems connected with your fianchetto Bishop at all. Even though you played several questionable moves and missed some basic tactics you were still dominating.

EDIT: for my note to Qb6: I meant Qa5 looks better if you want to develop your Queen.

2nd EDIT: I also missed that 19.Ng4 doesn't work.

Nope, turn-based. "name deleted" and mycowscanfly.

I'd rather not use my opponent's name in a forum. I was trying to address the OP. I guess it was a situation where I couldn't see a way of preventing the exchange...but that doesn't mean it didn't exist. I was hoping this discussion might suggest something to consider in that situation to prevent it.

When I missed 18...Ne4, the computer analysis suggested I take up checkers.

OK, I'll delete it.

You could have played 0-0 instead of d6, so if Qd2 then Re8 and Bh6 can be met by Bh8 (I think orangehonda has mentioned this sort of thing). But I don't really think you should be overly worried about it. You can't have everything your own way! If he'd have played better I'm sure it would have been a reasonably balanced game exchange or no exchange...

I wouldn't say that. Just work on your tactics. Smile

MrYikes...I'm impressed. That's right on target. Some of the comments about the Tarzan look like they will be useful for black. I'm looking though Hebden's games...so far I only see a lot of Barry Attack but I'm still looking.
