Auto Aborters should lose rating points

Suggestion to Admin at chess.com:

Higher rated players simply auto-abort their games against lower rated players to avoid the risk of losing their rating points. This kinda sucks if you are the lower rated player.

Solution: Penalise the auto-aborters with a loss of 10 rating points. You don't have to give these points to the lower rated player, just punish the auto-aborters.

Admin at Chess.com please take note.

The-Great-Danton

If higher rated players were scared of losing points then they can filter lower rated players. Why they will waste their time in starting a game and then aborting.

@ The-Great-Danton: There is a lower and higher range with these filters....you can't set it to only play higher rated players. What they do in starting a challenge is fish for only higher rated players.

Because in 10/0 Blitz, when I'm absolutely sure i'm playing a Cheat using engine performing at 3000, then find later their Bullet Rating is 800, I try not to give them the pleasure of unleashing a 15 move sacrificial mating combination (which has happened) worked out by their engine in seconds, so I abort, but still lose 15 Rating points. And I've lost to about 25 Cheats in 10/0. Do you know how many Rating points that has cost me ??? Not that I've aborted in all those games.

Nah, just annoying. grin.png

The whole idea is to try and improve...and the best way to do that is to play stronger players.
