I want to play 5 minute games but a 10 minute game automatically appears how do I change it?

Go to Play, and then click on Play, and choose your time control you want to play.

thanks i get that but the next game automatically comes up as 10 minutes and i can't change that

Stange...when i play live game i only 2/1 games, and that is the setting i always get.

Did you try clicking on Custom Challenge, and set your favorite time control there?
