chess should be simple but entertaining, u don't need genius too enjoy it
Ayn Rand and Chess
the one who write and post this didn't play chess at all. why don't you play first and write by your own experience. sorry for my harsh comment
I like Rand's novels but I saw her on a talk show once and she was a horrible, horrible person
Have you seen her interview.. one of her later ones.. with Phil Donahue? He was absolutely atrocious to her and very disrespectful on his show. You can only see now how his audience was utterly scripted to say certain things; things I doubt Ayn Rand was participatory in pre-show.
It was so long ago I don't remember what show it was. It just became apparent to me that her ego was the most important thing in her life and drove everything she said and did.
This is the video interview I was referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3u8Jjth81_Q
Donahue's condescending tones are just over-flowing, even 2½ minutes in .. "I don't understand why you have to be so harsh ... ".
All 14-year old boys think "The Fountainhead" is awesome, Most of them grow up
And eventually, those that grow up and think Rand was not right eventually mature and realize she was.
But that may not happen in 40 or 50 years. It could take a lifetime.
What have I started? Was just showing appreciation to the OP.
I think The Fountainhead is her best novel. Atlas Shrugged was, I think, weakened by her trying wrap her new philosophical system, objectivism, up in it.
I will say though, that as an artist, her writing has helped me.
I enjoyed both novels as well as your post. Thank you.
