Bad blood - Reshevsky and Fischer
Hahahaha! I doubt it. If I ask 20 people out on the street "Who is Bobby Fischer", the ones that know who he is will say he was one of the greatest chess players in history, not a rambling anti semetic who happened to play great chess
Beside the point anway
What "orthodox Jew" and what "Nazi" ?

Actually, Fischer was pretty supportive of Sammy once he was no longer a rival. When many thought that Reshevsky was too old to keep competing, Fischer defended his right to play as long as he wanted. Bobby did not really go full on nuts until he played for the championship - prior to that he was just crazy.

Fischer respected Reshevsky in more ways than one. Before Fischer became of age to compete at a high level, he spoke highly of him. Fischer also liked the fact that Reshevsky was the only one attempting to make a career as a Chess player, and the fact that for a while Reshevsky was the only U.S. GM.
Anyway I think my comment on Fischer being Reshevsky's second was confined to him simply helping Reshevsky during the Chess Olympiads. Oh well.
I know there was alot of bad blood between Reshevsky and Fischer, but I read somewhere that it was eventually settled and Reshevsky had later recruited Fischer as his second in one of the tournaments he played in. Does this ring any bells for any of you historical buffs? I was curious on which tournament it was.
edit:
You know, it was probably simply during the Chess Olympiads. Oh well, wouldn't count that I guess
