Bad Losing Streak

I've lost 11 of my last 12 Rapid 30 minute games.  I had a rating of 1394 on 2/21/2021 and now I am down to just 1219.  I can't believe it.  Is it possible that at near age 86 I have lost all ability to play chess?

Just look at your 1-year rating chart. The 1394 was most likely an unsustainable hot streak. Your present rating is most likely near the end of a cold streak. (As long as you're not really going senile.) Your real strength is very likely halfway between the two.

You had another crash and recovery back in July/August, but you didn't even mention that.

True, EscherehcsE.  We tend to play in streaks.  It still feels bad in a losing streak as long as this.

I can only hope to still be playing when I’m your age. Btw, your profile says you’re 95, here you say you’re 86. 

Sometimes I feel like 95 but my real age is 86.  I wonder how many here are 86??

30 min is long and you may need to do some puzzles or something to remember everything when my grandpa and he had cancer he did rember who i was which felt like the end of the world just make shure and take care hope you have a great summer

Honestly, you're probably better than me, and I'm not even in high school yet! Hope I'm still that good at 86.
