how do i mute/ban somebody?

1. Click on their profile square. This takes you to their profile page.
2. Next to their profile picture, bottom right, there are a series of buttons.
3. The one most right is the one that says "block" when you hover your mouse over it.
4. Click it.
5. You have now blocked the user.
If you mean a total ban / mute from public, you haven't the authority to do that.
