My opponent moves as queen do a bad spot, and I take it. He then says mistake. I say yeah sucks happens to me all the time. He then request a draw. I turned down the request for a draw. This leads to him telling me that I am a bad player for not granting the draw. I make bad moves all the time and complete accident moves, but I never thought to request a draw. Then he becomes very angry and starts cursing at me and tells me it’s just a game why would I give them a draw. I say it’s just a game why won’t you just accept the loss and move on. I don’t know am I the bad guy here? Is it proper chess etiquette if you make a bad move, that you should request a draw?
I don't think you're the bad guy, how do you know it was a mistake? Your opponent could be claiming that as they've seen a better move or didn't see the threat at all. If the loss means that much to them offer them a rematch and just make sure that you beat them again 😀
