I used to play the Italian game and the colle when I was a beginner, but now I like the modern KID type openings, especially as black....it seems to defer most of the action until later in the game where I am stronger....you really have to figure out your own personal style, I'm mainly positional....attacking and tactical players may like the Sicilian as Black.
