I second chesstempo.com. I have been doing some of their tactics problems every day and have been seeing the board much more comfortably and identifying the important pieces, places, and moves much faster than I was before.

You should also take paul211 up on his game offer. There is a lot to be learned by playing an instructive game with a stronger player.
