Playing 5 min or 3 min game why do we lose game by time the most ??
tried to play faster than opponent but still running out of time are both me and my opponent having the same minutes of time ??
could someone explain to me why is that happening??
In what situation opponent could get more time ?
what is the difference between 5 mins game and 5/5 game ???

5 mine game is just standard 5 minute but 5/5 means five minute and every move you make it ads 5 seconds

What do you mean by standard. ?? is everyone have 5 minutes ?? this is not true

If you focus only on speed, you might not make good decisions, leading to blunders that cost you the game—even if you avoid running out of time.

So what the solution ? the question is still remain. why running out of time ? the game speed is 50/50 if not am faster, but the opponent wins most of the time
this means am playing against supernatural or a machine no other possibilities

OK...

Your opponent might be winning on time and/or position because they recognize advantageous situations and solutions faster than you do. This is the result of practicing puzzles and patterns. If you want to improve, I recommend doing both. Don't get lost in the calculations; find an improving move and play it.

hes just giving an example. if its a regular 5 minute game we both have 5 minutes, but if its a 5:5 game we both have 5 minutes and 5 seconds are added per move made by the person

you're just slower when you play. play longer game times for better results

Am slower huh?

this what you came up with ?
am slower than everybody ??

Why are you getting pressed? People are just trying to offer some advice like you requested. Also, yeah, if you're getting flagged constantly, you are slower than everybody.

Yes, since you always get flagged you simply have to be.

Then prove to me that the ones that am playing against are not machines ?
if you do so then I will simply be slower .
a game of 3 minutes ends minutes to my opponent and min to me while the game speed was 50/50 step by step.... unbelievable

then just play a longer time variant? 10 mins for example. you're claiming that everyone you play against is a machine, but there are people that can come up with a move or already had a move they wanted to play so they play it in quick concession. that's why, for example, premoving exists, for people who want to make their next move quickly.

an example, a game you played TODAY

you timed out because you spent around 30-40 seconds thinking on 3 moves.

Its not a matter of one match , this is very clear that we are playing with machines on some players has privileges to get more time than others.

are you genuinely considering that every single day you play against bots? stockfish takes at least 3-4 seconds to process a move and play a corresponding move. people are just faster than you.

It´s all very clear to me, as Vladimir uses to say.wink

In blitz games like 3-minute or 5-minute, both players start with the same time, so losing on time usually means your opponent is managing their clock better—not necessarily playing faster overall. The key difference is increment: a 5-minute game (5+0) has no extra time, while a 5/5 or 5+5 game gives you 5 extra seconds after every move, which can add up and make it seem like your opponent has more time. You’re likely running out because of spending too long on certain moves, hesitation, or lack of quick pattern recognition, while your opponent plays more consistently and uses the increment better.
