Imagine a chessboad 8x8 whears the white piceses only have h king left, the black hs a king and a rook. white is positioned at king c5. black i positioned at king: c3 + rook at D4.

question. is it valid for the black player to move king to c4 (with rook at c5) and if he does, will white in by check.mating king from c5 to c.4 or is that king pritected by the rook?

The simple answer is that you can never put two kings next to each other as, technically, that would be placing your own king into check.

Kings can't capture each other nor move next to any piece that can capture it next turn.

well THANK YOU that's what iv'e been telling the guy who claims his king is protected by his rook even after the move is made

The king isn't a piece that you can allow to be captured, doesn't matter if It's defended because if you lose it the game is over.
