Diamond member has a lot more interactivity with guides and stuff, also videos > books in terms of learning.
Off course 4-5 books can be sweet too and you can learn the same from it, but it will probably take longer term because you have to play out books on a chessboard if you want to learn something good from it.
Well the basic members are allowed 1 CM lesson per day. Use it for strategy, like Silmans Strategy Course. Learn tactics and endhames from the Internet, itself, you can get all of it for free on chess.com articles and chesstempo,etc
