Best as Black?

Are there any famous or semi famous players that were better as black than as white?  I'm one of the few people I know who can play best as white.

Since white moves first, that player can dictate where the game will go.  At the very highest level of chess, it seems logical that white is playing for a win on move 1, and black is playing for a draw.  Of course, we're all human, allowing black to win, but white is inherently better simply by starting up a tempo.

American Master Weaver Adams had better career results as Black.

But he also wrote a book "White to play and win"
