Can you guys give me the names of the best tactical puzzle books you have tried or heard about?

Forcing Chess Moves

Combination Challenge (or Reinfeld's, 1001 Brilliant Sacrifices and Combinations, which is about the same thing) is worthwhile.

Blokh's book is a Russian classic

Ah, this is good indeed. Thanx for the advice 

only problem I have with chesstempo is that my tactic rating there is around 1400 and I frequently get problems rated 1000-1090, which are very basics.

@king_nothing : in your options, you can select difficulty 'high' to be served more difficult problems on average
