Best Chess Books For Improving My Game?

Anyone? I for one have no problem with the way Kindaspongey posts his comments and links. His methods are not subject to your approval. I think you and the other naysayers need to get over this obsession with Kindaspongey and focus your energies on (your generally) more constructive commentary...
Constructive?
Don't use words that you have no idea what they really mean.
Your bullying tactics will not work on me. My advice for you is to grow up...

Dierdre - Sigh.....best to ignore immature trolls and bullies who require responses in order to continue defecating their negativity....so I will waste no more energy on you....perhaps, like a weed deprived of water you will dry up and blow away...
kindaspongey, I'm afraid that aeracer's stupid ranting is more useful to the O.P. than your endless sales lists.
I am not selling anything.
... If nothing else, posting 50 links in 50 different messages is the definition of spam ... He could gather all the links and post them in one post. ...
By my count, I made about 20 posts with links in this thread. Because of an unrelieable computer connection, it is easier to avoid the necessity of retyping if I use short posts. Also, I can get stuff out quicker if I post it as I come up with it.

I recommend gelfand's positional/ dynamic decision making,All of Kasparov's my great predecessors, and if you want something less advanced, then Silman's reassess your chess is okay. The first two books helped me pull my rating from 1600-1850ish and going through MGP so far, I feel like I'm getting better and better, great books!

The art of defense in chess and pawn structure chess. Read them in that order. Also read a tactics book and your rating will skyrocket. It will take energy and studying and practice and some luck to get better.

Kindaspongey is simply trying to be helpful - something your and pfren's last comments here are lacking...
Providing google results without adding any additional context, and doing so in a series of posts, is not trying to be helpful. This is especially true when the quotes provided by his scripts are taken entirely out of context to misrepresent what is said.
I and many others find Kindaspongey's posts generally helpful. I encourage him to continue doing what he is doing and simply ignore the naysayers and self-appointed forum police, whose posts are more negative than helpful.
