The Kasparov-Topolov game was first game I thought of... the tactic was impossible to see to the end, but somehow he saw enough to make it work, and sac a rook up front.  Just amazing.

I'm sure there are other fine games whose brilliance isn't so straightforward, nonetheless a good candidate.

fabelhaft

Topalov played a good game against Kasparov, some annotators give lots of exclamation marks to his moves, one example being http://coxschess.tripod.com/attack1.html

Topalov used an hour after 24. Rxd4 but in spite of being in time trouble later in the game he kept playing well, without obvious mistakes. There are many pretty games but not many of them won against one of the strongest players in the world having a fairly good day.

Prettiest game?

Another one of my favourites...

He had two bishops plus a rook for the queen...a trade any half decent chess player would make with barely a second thought. Still an incredible game for a 13 year old.

Polugaevsky vs Nezhmetdinov, 1958

Nezhmetdinov vs Chernikov, 1962

Bogoljubow - Alekhine Hastings 1922 according to Irving Chernev, who passed away in 1981. Maybe it's not the greatest game ever but it is pretty awesome!

Fischer didn't even include the win vs Byrne in 1956 in his "60 Memorable Games" so I suspect one of his other games should be nominated instead. I'll be dammed if I know which other one to nominate since he played so many gems. Maybe the RL win vs Stein(B) in 1967?

More importantly, what is a giant pink ant doing in any thread?

 Well... it's quite piquant.
