A lot of greats in sports keep going in and out of retirement and taking breaks and so on. And still being at or near the top when they come back.
Happens with acting too.
When you get rich you want time off whatever made you rich.
Including to attend to family and things like that.
Many who are the best at what they do well they've 'made it' financially but that isn't the point.
They didn't make it because of chasing the money.
They like what they do.

Bobby Fischer is the best. Magnus Carlsen is the strongest due to engines. I think out of 50 games Magnus would win 30 against Fischer.
