Hey guys, chessable is a great source of information. I wondered what would be some good courses for 1200 elo. Openings, ideas, anything worth the money and the time.

I’m in the same elo range for daily and around 900 for rapid. I’m also looking for course recommendations. Did you find anything good?

Bishops opening is phenomenal by The Butcher. Creating a very strong Vienna position and it’s a master class on attacking a castled king.

“Keep it Simple courses” for e4, d4, and as black are excellent for complete opening game of your liking.

“Mastering Chess Strategy” has got to be the Bible for Strategy. Probably best bang for your buck right there.

I probably sound like a sales rep for them lol but I truly enjoy using their courses and move trainer system.

The checkmate patterns manual is great. Helps you see and set up typical patterns in your own games which is useful at all levels. The "Woodpecker method" is good as a traditional book as well as in chessable. The opening courses are WAY too detailed to be of any significant use for you. The free "short and sweet" series is more than enough. And then practice!
