I love the guess the move software. However my antivirus system refuses to let me use this saying it is malware. Does anyone else have this issue?

Just out of curiosity, what is your operating system, and which AV (antivirus) program are you using?
I just ran all three files against the online VirusTotal. The exe file came up clean. The two zip files only had one hit each out of around 60 AV engines. So, my guess is the two hits are probably false positives, but you'll have to decide if you're comfortable running the programs.
FYI, the "Guess The Move" program is written by Fred Mellender, who is also a member here. I've used Fred's YATT program in the past, and I've never had any problem with it. Although I don't know Fred personally, he strikes me as being honest and a "straight shooter". I'd be very surprised if Fred was doing anything underhanded. Personally, I wouldn't have any problem running any of Fred's programs, unless VirusTotal were to raise major issues with the programs.
Thanks for your feedback Escherehcse. I wouldn't dream of accusing Fred of anything - that was not my intention. I'm just a bit frustrated that I cannot get the program to run. I'm using windows 10 and Bitdefender anti- virus.
When running the program I get a window that says 'the publisher could not be verified' and once I click on 'Run' it minimises and won't load. My antivirus gave the warning that ChessGuessTheMove.exe is infected. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but after a few sessions the error comes back.
This is such a pity as I really like this program - I would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their game.

I'm not very familiar with Bitdefender, but shouldn't you be able to add that executable to the exception list?
There are two guess the move softwares available for free.
http://chessimprover.com/guess-the-move-software/
Pros: show annotations, engine move, pgn move, and our move that the same time with customize depth search of the engine. Best for annotated games!
Cons: no random position. Does not show engine variation.
