You shouldn't really move your pawn three times in the opening for no reason like this (in this case the E pawn) but in positions like this it is best to focus on development so maybe Bb5

he has arrows on the 2 pawn moves from black so I assume he is talking about those. See f6 exf6 Nxf6, looks like an idea I have seen before, d6 than if exd6 bxd6 and I think it's still 0 0. Honestly both moves look fine, I would probably push d6 out of the two options.
