The best music for playing chess is something that you are not super in to. If I put on music I really like, especially music that physically makes me move like rock. blues, or R&B, I start focusing more on the music and lose concentration. I can get away with classical, some light jazz or electronic/synthe as background music, but not much else. I tend to lose myself in the music. Yeah, I am weird, but I guess music just really impacts me.
