Arsenal remain a 'big' team. Their problem is that there are now other big and bigger teams which was not the case 15-20 years ago when Wenger was enjoying his honeymoon.

Arsenal are stuck as long as Wenger is around. Once Wenger leaves and they get a top manager in who could add some steel to them, they will be back in the 'bigger' teams category.

Under Wenger though, Arsenal are not going to win the league in all likelihood. Wenger is the finest collector of springboards known to football. He collects spring boards and then never uses them to spring board to bigger things.

What do I mean, well UCL football is a spring board to challenge for the league. Wenger had it for years and never used it. 3 FA Cups in 4 years you would think he would use that to spring board to bigger things but nah.

However to be fair to him it was he who made Arsenal a big team but of course he doesn't have a right to stop the club's development into 21st century football club. Football has changed and Wenger can't keep up.

Arsenal's board are too much of a coward to sack him and he is too stubborn to see that he is failing the club and step down.

Arsene sticks around because he owns some stake of the club plus Kroenke the boss, is a die hard support of him

Well Wenger will propably not get another extension. This season is almost half done and then its just one more season of him for Arsenal fans. Then they could start the transition.

Also Chelsea seems to be having the usual off pich wrungles between the team coach and Abramamovic the owner, this guy has sacked Anceloti who won the double with Chelsea, he sacked mourinho after winning the premier league with the them just to name a few. If he keeps doing this then Chelsea will go back to the level they were before 2002

The Premiership is nothing compared to Serie A Italian football. Milan and Juventus are the best.

Isn't AC millan struggling

Serie A is not a poor league but has not been the best league since approximately 1995 IMO.

True because most of the league's quality players have gone to other leagues

In 20 years will the Chinese league be the place to go? Or will it turn out to be a failed experiment? After all, they are only doing what the EPL did in the 90's when there was an influx of money - signing up players past their prime/talented mercenaries on high wages. eg Tevez 515k p/week highest paid player in the world lol.

you maybe right the Chinese can fill many stadiums to the brim so the Chinese super league may pick because even many Chinese moguls have started to own top tier English and Spanish teams

That was just an aftermath after losing to Girona, a team that was just promoted
