Whats Upp Chess.com! so recently ive been wanting to Increase my Blitz Rating, My Rapid And Bullet are at Comfortable Ratings and ive found Blitz to be a little more trickier, Any Tips from 2000+ Blitz -players?

Not 2000+ but id recommend a coach? People playing at 2k plus tend to have someone else talking through the games with them rather than just a computer analysis.

IM Lawrence trent is a great coach.

I dunno I didn't have a coach 🤷 coaches are more for direction but you actually have to get better yourself

Honestly consistency is probably your best bet plus trying to figure out positional play will probably help in my experience between 1800-2000 that's probably the biggest difference but I honestly just grinded allot to get to 2000 (analyzing games prob helps tho actually come up with ideas don't just use stockfish )

Honestly you haven't seemed to play much blitz recently so just playing a few games a day will help the most once you've done that then try to figure out what else your doing once you've got a relatively stable rating

Warm up in anonymous pools for a bit before playing rated games. You'll get a measure of where your brain is before committing any rating points and, with any luck, win a few games and build some confidence.

Brew some tea beforehand, too. Remaining calm and focused is paramount.

Honestly the 3 minute pool is very very strong, I heavily suggest you sharpen your tactics up super sharp and calculate super intensely in those 3 minute games. Bullet is way easier than 3 mins my max bullet is 1900 but blitz is barely 1700. The blitz players are very good

Good lord... I wish people would stop talking about coaching... YOU DON'T NEED ONE AT 2000! GET 2200 THEN MAYBE

3 minutes strong pool? Lol! I win playing terribly every time 🤣🤣

3 minute pool here is a joke. i don't even have to try to get 2400 blitz here.

Shush says u can't even get to 2500 if 2400 is easy and from what your saying you should be able to adopt them which means get to 2900 💀

Coaches are helpful for all elos sometimes during tournaments if I remember gmhikaru and Magnus and gothamchess have coaches

maybe i should reword it. i clearly didn't have to try too hard to get to 2400 blitz judging by my win rate

You haven't even played that many games HangingPawn your elo is likely inflated.

I crossed over 2000 today. The thing that helped me was using https://www.openingtree.com/

I checked which openings I faced the most, and was losing to the most. I made sure that I had a plan for at least the first 5-6 moves for these openings that I could play on autopilot. I always have time advantage going into middle game. I also set the rating range for my matches to be -25 +400, so that way I always play someone better than myself, that is the best way to learn. Since you are pretty good at bullet it is important to note you will have time to think in blitz for 1-2 critical moves. It is worth spending 1 minute for a move that gives a massive advantage. You can speed up after like you play in bullet. I don't have a coach, just review your own games. Good luck!

nah my elo is most likely deflated from the lack of games i play and my crushing win rate

Analyze your losses to identify recurring errors—whether tactical oversights or poor time usage—and adjust accordingly.

Puzzles are important. Analyse your games, and just play a lot.

Same. I have never had a coach—and I will never have one.
