Better at tactics, worse at blitz?

Lately I've been improving my tactical ability practicing puzzles on chess.com and other websites.
Lately it seems like I've been running out of time in blitz games more. My blitz rating hasn't improved.
Coincidence?
It seems the tactics training makes me more aware of possible complications in every position. So, I tend not to be satisfied a move is good until I've spent more time analyzing those complications. And in a blitz game there usually just isn't enough time to do the same level of analysis I would do on a tactics problem.
