Always good to know. In this case though I was actually referring to how your judgments were formed, such as how playing on is pathetic.

Most top players just offer a handshake when they resign. I used to tip over my king but now I figure, since we'll do a handshake anyway, why not kill two birds with one stone Smile. It can't really be misconstrued if a draw wasn't offered.

So I guess it sort of mixes the resigning into the sporting handshake, kind of like "good game, I honor you with a win." Not that this kind of "honor" stuff is a big deal to me lol.

In one game, I allowed my opponent the satisfaction of checkmate. I put up a valient defense, but he simply outplayed me. He thanked me for it! :-)
