Which of these tandems work better with one another; Queen and Knight; Queen and Bishop; Rook and Knight; Rook and Bishop? Which compliment the other best?!

Queen and knight are often a powerful team, but of course it depends on the position. It is the responsibility of the player to organise the pieces in such a fashion that they combine well, whichever pieces they may be.

B + B is usually considered stronger than B + N, but Q + N is usually better than Q + B.

It's probably because two B's can't interfere with each other (they travel on opposite colors) but Q + B can obstruct each other.
