Reviving this thread is a trip down chess.com forum history. There are a few posts from people who were a big presence in the Off Topic forum but haven't been around for years now.
edit-- I see the fellow who was ranting throughout the thread while promoting the Atkins diet hasn't been on chess.com since 2011. Maybe he succumbed to his silly nutritional advice.
