I think it depends in the context. Empirically, bishops tend to be a bit better. It might also depend on whether a position is open (then bishop) or closed (then knight). In then "mean" I say bishop.
Bishop or Knight?

Bishop
'The weaker the player the more terrible the Knight is to him,
but as a player increases in strength the value of the Bishop becomes more evident to him,
and of course there is, or should be, a corresponding decease in his estimation of the value of the Knight as compared to the Bishop' - Capablanca
A simple explanation:
KBB can checkmate K easily
KBN can checkmate K, but it is harder
KNN can checkmate KP, but it is very hard
AlphaZero values B = 3.33 P and N = 3.05 P

GM Ben Finegold said this " As your rating goes higher, you start liking bishops more" and I agree with this. For lower rated players, the knight forks are scary to face but as you get better, the range of bishop comes in handy but obviously, we all don't really know how to play chess properly, so It's just kind of theoretical advantage of bishops over knights.
