Best openings for around 500 elo’s to use as black? I play Italian as white but struggle when choosing an opening for black.

#2 — I wouldn't put it on that high of a pedestal. I tend to play quite well both with and against the Sicilian Defense, but I'm far from invincible whenever it's picked.

Well, I did mean to say that the Sicilian can help you only until you get to 1000. Once you get there, you should probably change your opening

after looking some your game, i think no matter what opening is not important. first you should trying to not blunder. second, most important in opening is to make your piece active, and other is to create counter play especially chance to create pawn breakthrough.
