Blindfold chess program

Hello chess friends!

I'm currently learning to play blindfold chess and need a chess program to train with! What I am looking for is:

  • a program that allows me to type in the move instead of having to move the pieces on the board

I'd like to be able to show/hide the chessboard at will, too!

I've tried crafty w/command line, but that doesn't allow me to set up a specific position (using a graphical board; it's a pain to type in complex positions).

Thanks in advance for your answers!

You might want to try HAL9000 :-) See also

Just do not tell him to show the board before starting the game  Smile

Showing / hiding the chessboard at will during the game and setting up positions seems not to be possible with HAL, however.

With shredder (not with the chessbase GUI but with the original GUI) you can let the complete board disappear and enter moves by keyboard.
