This is why you should play 2 | 12 instead of 10 | 0. Endgames are just as important as openings and midgames with a 2 | 12.
Blitz and bad habits

Move faster. That's what blitz is all about. Earlier this afternoon I played a 10 minute game against a slow player. He lost on time after 17 moves. I still had 8 mins on the clock. It was a lot boring waiting 30 secs or more for his obvious moves.
Even with increments, this site seems to set 15 mins as the limit for blitz. Playing 2/12 that would be 75 moves. If you aren't into an end game by then something is not going on
How is blitz different from normal chess.
I notice that in blitz endgames really do not mattr at all since at th end neither side has any time in any case. whereas in long games, it is unusual to make a blunder in th middle game so endgames are usually where games ar won or lost.
what ar some of the other bad habits that blitz reinforces and is it really good for you to play a lot of blitz. my answer is that blitz should be avoided if you are serious about chess. avoided at all costs i should say. however, for non-professionals, it is good entertainment, even if it is (very)harmful.
