Blitz Chess or Slow Chess
Blitz games are fast games played with a chess clock. A certain amount of time is given to each player. I can't work my brain with good speed, which is why I prefer slow games. I usually play slow games with my friends nearly everyday. Sometimes, we don't finish our games but we can't leave the pieces overnight (we play at the library), so we have to abandon games. Just today, a very intense match took place. A slow game. Very slow game. I put lots of pressure, but when I was winning after a queen for queen capture and recapture, we had to leave. I'm not talking about online. I'm saying with a board. What a shame. I nearly beat him, yet he was the best chess player I've played with. I wish we could've stayed to finish the epic match.
Also, I recommend you play games at your house or your opponent's house, instead of in a public place such as library (we use it since it's quiet) so you can leave the game untouched.
Bullet is treating chess like a video game. Just fun and relying on reflexes and pattern recognition.
Blitz is treating chess like a timed puzzle, where if you can't figure out the puzzle in a given time, you lose.
Standard is treating chess like a complex puzzle, rewarding those who can calculate the deeper lines.
All have their own merit and I enjoy each for their own resons.
Blitz is too quick for my brain. I prefer slow chess.
Slow games help you know what to play in blitz games in case you get the same position as you had in a slow game. Therefore, you know which move to play (if you can remember what happened in the slow game).

Well then I would recommend playing blitz, but playing with maybe 5 min each player if you think most is to fast. Blitz helps you think quicker when you play a slow game. So if you want to have time for more games do this to get your brain quicker
